Prisync vs PriceZag: Can you verify the prices?
Prisync reports competitor prices. PriceZag lets you see the pages behind them. Compare screenshots, website monitoring, update frequency, price history and the features included.
Prisync tells you what a competitor's price and stock were. But it gives you no screenshots to verify those readings. If a reported price looks wrong, or a product suddenly appears out of stock, you cannot open the page Prisync actually saw when it checked. The retailer may already have changed it.
PriceZag does the opposite: we save a screenshot of every monitoring attempt and keep about a month of visual history, all included in your membership. Prisync is based in Istanbul, Turkey. PriceZag has been based in Santa Monica, California, USA, since 2016. Both track competitors, but only one of these services lets you go back and inspect what its browser saw.
Compare both and see for yourself!
Add the same product URLs to Prisync and PriceZag, especially difficult websites. Compare the prices, stock readings and screenshots.
PriceZag gives you the screenshots behind every reading, and full price & stock history. Prisync gives you no way to verify what its crawler actually saw.
If there's no screenshot, how do you check the price?
Imagine Prisync reports a product at $179 when you expected $199. Was it a sale? A different product variation? A crossed-out old price? Or did the crawler read the wrong number? Without a saved image from that visit, you're just guessing! Opening the live page later doesn't tell you what was displayed at the time.
With PriceZag screenshots, click the camera icon beside a result and see the actual rendered product page, together with the price, currency, stock status and confidence score we extracted. If our extraction was wrong, you can see our mistake too. That's exactly the point: you shouldn't have to trust any monitoring tool blindly, including ours.

We capture images on every attempted visit, not only on a price change. We keep roughly 30 days of screenshot history. You can revisit an earlier observation even if the retailer edits the page or the price returns to normal.
For MAP monitoring, screenshots are even more important. Proving a violation after the retailer changes its page can be nearly impossible without a saved image of what was advertised.
Accurate monitoring takes more than downloading a page
Some of the hardest sites run JavaScript-heavy storefronts, present different prices by location, or use Cloudflare and other anti-bot protections. That's where monitoring systems show their limitations.
Prisync users report incorrect prices, unreliable stock readings, broken links and websites blocking the tool. On difficult websites, a blocked page or misread amount can leave you with inaccurate data and no screenshot to investigate what happened.
We invest heavily in the part most people never see. PriceZag uses real graphical browsers on our own physical hardware with diversified GPUs, along with thousands of IP addresses across countries. Our browsers execute the website's JavaScript and load its actual interface; our team continuously maintains the monitoring methods needed for difficult retailers.
Protected websites are not a separately metered add-on in PriceZag. And when something goes wrong, we have screenshots to investigate it. Reliable browsing and visible evidence matter more than a cheap price feed you cannot verify. No tracker can guarantee every site on every attempt. Put the difficult URLs in both services and see what happens.
Five visits a day. Not one, not three.
Prisync's own documentation describes two monitoring schedules: up to three checks per day for manually added product URLs, and only ONE update per day for automatically gathered channel results. Its hybrid setup combines those two frequencies, not a faster schedule for everything.
PriceZag monitors competitors' prices and stock five times per day across plans, with intelligent scheduling based on the retailer's market, past changes and website conditions. We pay attention to the time of day when shoppers in that market are most active, rather than running everyone through one universal schedule.
A store might cut its price in the morning, sell out in the afternoon and restore its price by evening. A once-daily record can miss that entire sequence. More frequent observations also give you better data for price and stock history, alerts and repricing decisions.
Why is price history restricted to Platinum?
A price tracker should show not only today's price, but what changed and when. Yet Prisync reserves its dedicated Product History charts for Platinum, according to its own help center.
PriceZag always includes interactive historical price and stock graphs and historical spreadsheet exports with its monitoring. Compare retailers on the same timeline, inspect market averages and see when stock disappeared or returned. For a changing marketplace, history is not a luxury feature: it's how you recognize patterns instead of reacting to isolated numbers.
And the two kinds of history complement each other: graphs show how the numbers moved; our saved screenshots show what the underlying website looked like at an earlier check.

Check the same hard-to-monitor product URLs in both services. With PriceZag, you can inspect the browser screenshots behind the readings.
How much can you actually do with the API?
Prisync's API exposes only products/categories, competitor URLs, and prices. Those basic operations help move catalog and pricing data, but leave out many of the actions you can automate with PriceZag.
Our JSON API handles most day-to-day operations available in the PriceZag dashboard: product and URL management, detailed monitoring history, repricing rule management and calculated amounts, spreadsheet generation, and screenshot URLs that you can retrieve programmatically. You can build workflows, not just download a price feed.
Both companies charge separately for API access. The meaningful difference is what the API actually lets your software do.
Advanced repricing, without a premium-tier gate
Prisync offers a dynamic pricing engine starting on Premium plans only. We don't dismiss that capability; it can calculate prices from rules, which is what repricing does. But PriceZag's advanced repricing is already part of the monitoring subscription, and you can combine competitor prices and stock with your costs, minimum margins, limits, exclusions and rounding preferences.
One particularly useful detail: see what each available repricing rule would calculate for a product before assigning it. Compare your strategies without putting experimental prices live in your store. Direct store integrations are available for Shopify and WooCommerce; other platforms can use our API or exports.

MAP monitoring, reports and competitor sales estimates
For brands and distributors, MAP monitoring is already included in PriceZag, and screenshot history lets you document what an advertised page displayed. Prisync reserves its MAP feature for their Platinum plan, without screenshots to back up the observed listing.
PriceZag also offers formatted Excel and CSV reports, scheduled delivery, price and stock alerts, and granular multi-user permissions. These are everyday tools, not separate modules you must buy before monitoring becomes useful.
Our competitor sales estimates go a step further. When a retailer publishes numerical stock quantities, PriceZag can analyze inventory changes to estimate units sold and associated revenue. These are estimates, not privileged access to actual orders, and they aren't possible for every website, but they can be invaluable for identifying best-selling products and the competitors that sell the most. Prisync has no comparable competitor-sales estimation feature.
Run the same URLs. Compare what each tool can prove.
We occasionally see new customers importing spreadsheets that originated in Prisync. We don't ask you to switch on a slogan. Start with a small test: the same product URLs, including at least a few protected stores.
- Check the readings. Did each service capture the right price and stock status?
- Check the evidence. Can you see exactly what was on the page when the reading was taken? Oh wait, you can't do that with Prisync!
- Check the timing. How many price and stock changes did each service capture?
- Check what's included. Open the graphs, build a repricing rule, use your reports and investigate a past price change.
PriceZag lets you look behind the numbers. That's a fundamental difference when your pricing decisions depend on correct competitor data. Try the two services on the sites that matter to your business and judge the actual results.
