Billing and Payments - PriceZag
Learn how PriceZag charges for subscriptions, including billing dates, API fees, plan changes, cancellations, failed payments, prepayments and invoices.
Check the currency: Prices for our services are shown in the currency of your country. Please verify the currency displayed next to each price before confirming a payment.
PriceZag is a month-to-month service with no long-term contract required. Monthly plans are paid in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. We always show what you will pay and when a change will take effect before you confirm a purchase or plan change.
Billing day
Your billing day is normally the same day of the month on which you started your paid subscription. For example, if you subscribe on the 17th, your next payment is due on the 17th of the following month, and then on the 17th each month.
If a month does not have your billing day, we charge you on its last day. For example, a subscription started on December 31 is billed on January 31, February 28 (or 29 in a leap year), March 31, and so on. A subscription started on November 30 is billed on December 30, January 30, February 28 (or 29), and so on.
API
Full API access costs an additional 30% of your monthly plan price. For example, on a $200/month plan, enabling full API access brings the total to $260/month.
Direct store connections, including Shopify and WooCommerce, also use the API. To connect your store directly, you must enable full API access; the same 30% fee applies.
Without enabling full API access, you can still use the API for setup, but access is limited to the first 10 products in alphabetical order by their Ref Code.
If you enable the API partway through a billing period, we charge only the prorated amount for the time remaining, subject to a $3 minimum charge. You can disable full API access at any time from your account's Membership page, and the additional 30% charge will no longer apply starting on your next billing day.
Cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Membership page. Cancellation prevents the next renewal charge, but your paid service continues until your next billing day.
For example, if your billing day is the 17th and you cancel on the 19th, your service remains active until the 17th of the following month. The already-paid period is not refunded.
Failed payments
If we cannot charge your payment card, we normally suspend your service about 48 hours later. Website monitoring then stops, which may leave gaps in your price history, graphs and statistics.
We retry the payment for a little over a week. If a retry succeeds, your service resumes and your original billing day stays the same.
If the retries have ended and you later update your payment card, a successful new payment restarts your subscription with a new billing day, just as with a new signup. Your existing data history is preserved, but if prices have increased since your previous subscription, the current plan price will apply.
Before you confirm an upgrade, downgrade, API change, annual contract or other paid change, we clearly display the amount to be charged and when it will take effect.
Upgrades
When you upgrade, your new plan takes effect immediately. We deduct a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current plan from the price of the new plan. Your billing day then changes to the date of the upgrade.
For example, suppose you pay $50 on the 1st of each month and upgrade to a $100 plan on the 15th. With approximately half of the old billing period remaining, you would pay about $75 at the time of the upgrade ($100 minus a $25 credit), then $100 on the 15th of each following month.
Downgrades
Before downgrading, you must remove enough monitored URLs to fit within the limit of your new, smaller plan. Once your account is within that limit, you can select the new plan on the Membership page.
A downgrade takes effect on your next billing day. Until then, your existing plan remains active, and your billing day does not change.
If you schedule a downgrade and subsequently add more URLs than the smaller plan allows, the downgrade is canceled and your existing plan renews for another month.
Prepayments and account balance
You can add funds to your account balance in advance. Each membership charge is paid from that balance first; we charge your card only if the balance is insufficient. Keeping enough prepaid funds available can help prevent service interruptions caused by a failed card payment.
Unused prepaid funds are refundable, less the payment-processing and refund fees charged to us by our bank or payment processor. To request a refund, please open a support ticket.
Invoices
You can download all your invoices at any time in PDF format from the Invoices page of your account.
Price increases
We may change our prices from time to time. New subscriptions are charged the prices available when they start. Existing active subscriptions may keep their previous rate or receive an increase that is smaller than the price currently offered to new customers.
If we increase the price of your active subscription, we give you at least 30 days' advance notice, usually longer.
If your subscription is canceled or ends after a payment failure, the current price for your plan applies when you reactivate it.
One-year contracts
We offer a 20% discount for a one-year commitment paid in advance. You can select this option using the one-year contract toggle on your account's Membership page. The amount to be charged is shown before you confirm.
Once the annual payment is made, the one-year commitment cannot be canceled early or refunded for the unused portion of the term. At the end of the year, your subscription continues on a monthly basis at the applicable monthly rate unless you cancel.
